Invitation to meet --->
Would you like to be on the Silver List? Would you like to work for part of your listing fee? Then get in touch! Contribute to project development. Your work will count towards earning you a listing on the Silver List. Up to 50% of the Silver List fee can be earned this way. We currently need help with office work, social media, legal, media design, newsletters, art projects, gardening, Public Relations, organizing and running events, among other things.
If you are a prospective property manager, architect or civil engineer, or lawyer looking for an interesting 3-6 month internship, or if you are an experienced professional seeking to make a limited contribution, you will be given real-world tasks in the preparation of our project(s).
Depending on your interests, you will be introduced to project work in property management, real estate or financial accounting, solar planning, energy design, sustainable building, visualization, site acquisition, or project finance planning.
Familiarity with image editing and maybe SketchUp, as well as Microsoft Office programs, or an interest in learning them, is welcomed.
Afterwards, you can receive a certificate from us for your CV. Working with us looks good on a CV (social skills). Perhaps you are considering starting your own business? We can advise and support and help you connect with potential clients or employers.
We have a desk for your 'start-up' available directly in our emerging coworking space. Get in touch with Alan!
Simply practise ‘Karma Yoga’ for the Shanti project. Even if you don’t need a Silver List entry, Esteemos or anything like that and would just like to get involved – without expecting any direct personal benefit. There’s plenty to do that will suit your talents too. For example: You play the violin? Super for our Mantra sessions. Would you like to learn how to be a beekeeper? Do you enjoy garden design in the Welsh style (just let it grow)? Can you weld and can help with the solar panel installation? Will you help set up our mens shed? Are you creative and good at art? Get in touch, and you’ll be given real world jobs tasks!
We are looking for (or rather, Alan is looking for) a motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills and computer literacy who enjoys corresponding with prospective project partners and who would like to participate in preparing and conducting meetings as a co-facilitator.
You will learn to lead group brain stormings, online marketing, sending personalised newsletters, and event management. There is also the opportunity to explore further tasks in public relations or property management and to try your hand at various aspects of personal support. Working remotely from home is possible. Contact Alan!
Your work could be partly from home, online with flexible working hours, using your own PC (work-life balance).
Alan can guide you. Unfortunately, he's already 70 years old (otherwise he'd be quite nice). His qualifications include a degree in Biology and Chemistry, Advertising and Communications (state-certified), and as a teacher. Alan has a degree in Real Estate Economics from the European Business School and 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, as well as in tourism marketing and business coaching. He is a certified Hatha Yoga teacher and meditation instructor and is the initiator of this project. He studied Art in Berkeley and completed a sculpture apprenticeship in Tokyo, and was last working as a Chemistry and Biology teacher in Germany.
Om gam ganapataje namaha
... in preparation. We are setting up a collaborative time exchange. The name of our exchange currency is 'Esteemo'.
Link: ...Esteemo Collaboration (draft)
A box of Esteemos provides you with the help you need. For example... if you require a babysitter or someone to help you put up a shelf or to drive you to see your son.
You work for one of us or us. For example doing bookkeeping, art classes, cleaning, catering, garden planning, yoga teaching, meditation or choir directoing for our mantra choir (soon to be established), for our yoga circle dancing, musicians (vocals, guitar or harmonium) and we're also looking for hosts for overnight stays of our out-of-town or even international helpers and guests.
...if you need help and present us with a selection of your collected Esteemos, someone in our community will rise to support you. So, you can start today to do something usefull for tomorrow, for when you need help with something.
The principle:
You help us today, and we help you tomorrow.
Based on the following arrangement:
You receive one 'Esteemo' for every hour you do something for us or one of us.
The Esteemo is the internal 'exchange currency' for neighborly assistance in our community (not Pounds). It is roughly equivalent to an hour's work, regardless of the task. You can also purchase 10 Esteemos from the community for 150,- Pounds (incl. VAT). You pay the community not the individual.
Want to save Esteemos while you're out of a job, or, want to 'pay' for someone to coach you?
Want to learn how the Esteemo time exchange might work? Then come to one of our meetings!
